Home News & Events World Book Day 2023

2nd March 2023

World Book Day 2023

Smallbrookers fully immersed themselves into World book day today. Both staff and students have come dressed as their favourite book characters. Peppa pig, Gangster Granny, Zippy, Matilda, and Harry Potter were just some of the characters celebrated.

Our English department have worked extremely hard planning a variety of literacy-based activities and quizzes for all students to complete throughout the day. Students have had the opportunity to watch book adaptions of Paddington, Howls Moving Castle, Persuasion and Enola Holmes. They have also had the chance to enter a national competition based on the book, How to train you dragon, which they could win a trip to Germany. A selection of audio books have been available for those who enjoy being read too.

Prizes were awarded for best outfit and best reader. Thank you to everyone who took part in such a fun filled day!
