Home News & Events A Journey Beyond the Classroom!
On Friday 19th June, students from Primary through to Year 10 enjoyed an exciting educational visit to Cockshutt Village Hall, where they experienced a specially installed planetarium dome.
The immersive experience took students on incredible journeys through space, introduced them to the constellations and stories of Greek mythology, and explored the powerful forces behind volcanic activity. Inside the dome, learning came to life as students travelled through the solar system, discovered how ancient civilisations used the stars to tell stories, and gained a deeper understanding of the science behind volcanoes and the Earth’s structure.
The visit was both educational and inspiring, encouraging curiosity, imagination, and a greater appreciation of the world beyond the classroom. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to experience their learning in a dynamic and memorable way, sparking interest in science, geography, history, and the wider world around them.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this wonderful experience possible! ![]()
