Hair and Beauty do Gore!!

This week some students had the chance to attend a special effects workshop, ran and organised by the Hair and Beauty department. The special effects workshop allowed students to learn how to create and apply wounds, burns, scars, ageing and many other special effects for film and TV.

All students absolutely loved it, they all got involved and asked lots of questions. Students worked together, discussed each others work and helped and supported each other as and when needed. They listened and contributed to discussion on the anatomy of the body and the process of injury (I must say one student blew me away with his knowledge) students learnt about the history of special effects makeup and how to make the products at home. Huge shout out to one of our Media Studies students, who helped take the photos for the school Media Studies teacher, Max to edit into a video.
