We Have Gone International :)

Smallbrook School have become a member of The Global School Alliance, the GSA unites passionate educationalists from around the world under the common goal of providing global learning for students. Its online platform stimulates school partnerships and development opportunities for educators. Last week Smallbrook School were invited to a global school council meeting, students discussed in student council who they wanted to represent the school and created a group presentation.

The theme of the meeting was to explore which careers are becoming popular in our school, what factors influence these job trends and what global skills will be essential in the years to come. Students were able to share their thoughts on the future of work and how we can prepare for it.

Smallbrook School nominated MP a year 10 student to attend the meeting, MP discussed what he wanted to be when he grew up, what his peers’ hobbies and interests were, similarities and differences, the subjects’ students most enjoy at Smallbrook and the industries students find the most interesting. MP made the school proud; he spoke with students from London, Wales, India and Moldova, he asked questions and used good social and listening skills, well done MP
