18th July 2024

LOADS OF LAUGHTER AT LAKE DAY 2024

To end the year on a high, all students had the chance to attend a fun filled lake day. The day was planned, organised and ran by our amazing outdoor education team, alongside the equally amazing Deputy Pastoral Lead Anna Rabbitts. Students were able wind down and have fun by paddle boarding, canoeing and swimming throughout the day, with every single student taking full advantage of dunking or capsizing a member of staff on numerous occasions. The day finished off by tucking into a tasty sizzling hot BBQ sat at the side of the lake, chatting and laughing with friends about the day.

This day was not only for staff and students to get out of normal lessons (We promise) πŸ˜‰ but to create memories. Positive childhood memories are so important, as they help us grow and learn, they can shape our thinking for the future and allow us to look back on our past with a smile. Positive memories leave us feeling happy and entertained and evoke emotions about a specific event. Creating positive memories for all our students is at the heart of what we do at Smallbrook. So here’s to the next amazing adventure πŸ™‚
