Home News & Events WE ARE ‘OUTSTANDING’ (MIC DROP)
On the 25th June, Smallbrook school welcomed two very special visitors. Bianca Zemke (Lead OFSTED Inspector) and Niall Gallaher (OFSTED Inspector) spent three days alongside the staff and students. Whilst here they had the opportunity to experience life at Smallbrook. They sat through a variety of lessons and activities from Key stage two upwards, they shared breakfast and lunch with staff and students, watched football matches and basketball games at breaktimes and even contemplated having their nails done in the Hair and Beauty Salon.
They spent time chatting with our students, sharing jokes and laughter and stories about life at the school. Both Bianca and Niall watched closely at the relationships between staff and students, they saw how our students are nurtured, encouraged and praised throughout their time at school. They were amazed at how much the school offers in order for all to make personalised progress. They felt the school, they understood who we are and what we stand for, which was magical. I, on behalf of Andy, our amazing Headteacher would like to thank Bianca and Niall for their kind words. We at Smallbrook, all know and feel how special the school is, but it is always nice to hear it from someone else 🙂
Finally, the biggest thank you goes to the students and staff. You make the magic happen 🙂
Lyndsay (Deputy Headteacher)
