Chester Zoo for our year 6’s

Our Year 6 pupils had an amazing day discovering the animal kingdom as part of their Science topic Living Things. They explored habitats, classification, and adaptation, seeing penguins in action, spotting the snow leopard in its cooler habitat, and learning about endangered red pandas.

The trip also helped develop teamwork, independence, and resilience as pupils navigated the zoo in small groups. Curiosity, awe, and empathy were sparked throughout the day – making learning fun, meaningful, and unforgettable
