🎄 Christmas Afternoon Tea 🎄 Today, our Smallbrook family came together to celebrate the festive season with
Social Media Kindness Day 2025
This week in school, we had Social Media Kindness Day, this was a great opportunity to remind students about the importance of being kind and respectful online.
Many of our students come into school feeling upset about unkind behaviour online, whether through social media, games, or chats. To support them, we put together a short information sheet for reading time.
Level Up Your Kindness Online!
Think before you post – pause before sending or commenting.
Be kind – a small positive message can really help someone’s day.
Don’t be a “space invader” – respect people’s boundaries online.
Protect yourself – block, report, or mute negativity.
If something online makes you feel uncomfortable, don’t respond, save a screenshot, and tell a trusted adult or staff member.
Students were given a few minutes to read and discuss the key messages during reading time today. Tis was a great success, all students engaged really well with each other and left feeling happier 🙂
Thank you to all staff and students for helping to keep kindness at the heart of Smallbrook, both online and offline.
