As part of Tutor time sessions, student have been celebrating World Religion week, this is an national awareness day that takes place each January, aiming to promote understanding and peace between all religions as well as mutual understanding and tolerance between peoples from different backgrounds.
Our Personal Development Lead Zoe planned a educational workshop based around Indian Dancing. Throughout the session students and staff were able to learn about the history of Indian dancing and how it links closely to cultural traditions. Students absolutely immersed themselves in the various dances being taught by Zoe (Dance lead) and asked questions related to the dance and the religions being discussed.
thank you to all staff and students who got involved!
