Throughout the first part of the Summer term, our year eight students completed work on Ancient Egypt. They learnt about the mummification process and the Egyptian gods. So when we heard that the British Ironwork museum and sculpture park had recently released a new 20ft exhibit of the Ancient Egyptian God Anubis, we decided to take a look.
Rather than paying to see the amazing creation, the museum were asking for donations of old glass, mobile phones and crisp packets to use for future models. Students also had the opportunity to visit the endangered animals trail, artisan workshops, and a new super hero exhibit. Our students were also called super heroes by the staff after they found a wallet containing a large sum of money, and handed it in. 🙂
Well done to all students involved in a great day!
