Smallbrook bringing Shakespeare to life!

Friday 1^st March some of the year 9, 10 & 11 English students had the opportunity to attend a local village hall for a Shakespeare Day. The students brought to life a famous Shakespeare play ‘A Midsummer’s Nights Dream’, they learned about stage directions, who would have performed the plays and the key themes of the play. 

The students finished the day by performing a condensed version of the play. It was lovely to see all the students get involved in drama and bringing English to life outside of a classroom. All students found that the activities helped them develop their confidence, the skill to collaborate with others, concentration and thinking creatively.
