This month a group of Smallbrook students attended Liverpool World Museum where they were able to explore world history. The trip was planned for our Year 8 students who are currently studying Ancient Egypt in their History lessons. Students learnt about ancient burial practices, read spells from the book of the dead and observed over 1200 objects from the collection, including damaged objects from when the museum was bombed in May 1941 in WW2.
Students were also able to visit the museums vast aquarium, where they experienced the viewing bubbles to see terrapins. Students then explored life on Earth and discovered a full-size dinosaur skeleton and learnt how these immense animals lived and died and even looked at Space.
