Emergency First Aid Training

Smallbrook School is fortunate enough to have an outdoor education teacher who doubles up as a mountain rescue first responder.

Danny Hinson delivered Emergency First Aid training to all of our staff this week highlighting the importance of everyone knowing how to help someone who is in need of help. We are especially thankful Danny for taking your time to teach us.

We covered all of the general day to day first aid tasks in detail. However, the most part of the day was spent learning how to keep somebody alive when suffering cardiac arrest. With Smallbrook School being located so remotely, this training could be life saving. We are all looking forward to our refresher next year. Thanks again Danny.
