Lidl Trip, Big German Adventure!

Three of our Year 9 Modern Foreign Languages students had the opportunity to put their German skills to the test on a special trip to Lidl! They successfully identified a variety of German foods, expanding their vocabulary while also gaining valuable life skills such as budgeting, packing, and unpacking their trolley.

Back at school, they enjoyed taste-testing their purchases – with some clear favourites and a few mixed reactions! The German sausages were definitely not the wurst, but the rye bread… well, that was! To set the mood, they even listened to some traditional German oompah music while they ate… though after one song, it was swiftly turned off!A fantastic hands-on experience that combined language learning with real-world application. Well done to our students for their enthusiasm and engagement – wunderbar!
