Home News & Events Advocacy and Representation
As part of their GCSE Citizenship studies, students are asked to choose a charity to advocate and support. They also have the opportunity to organise, plan and run an event to potentially raise money. Some of the students chose Severn Hospice as their chosen charity and decided to do a bake sale. This project coincided with their employability lessons as the students were responsible for the planning, budgeting and purchasing the products needed for the day. This was an excellent afternoon with the students learning new organisational skills and fundamental life skills lessons in baking skills, as well as building confidence in themselves and achieving a goal they have set.
The total amount raised was £50.00. Well done to all involved.
